Organic cotton towel's just came in!

It's already mid March, it is a season flower smells.
Today's topic is about organic cotton towel came to 1F Azabu Interior. People think "Organic cotton = Ecological, safe" but I also didn't know well about it. But this time I learned about it. Recently we hear often this words "Organic cotton" from the trend of Eco&LOHAS.

So here what organic cotton is...
"Cotton grew in a field with more than 3 years cure with organic fertilizer and without using chemical pesticide such as insecticide, weed killer or Agent Orange" and it also applies for filature and texture.

The towel we received this time is from the brand "Ten i muhoh" and they are 100% organic cotton. Their texture is fluffy and smooth! You will be healed by this touch.

Made of high-class organic cotton, Supima extra long staple cotton features luster and soft texture. Material: 100% organic cotton, Made in Japan. Facecloth: 34x85cm, 1,050 yen. Bath Towel: 60x120cm, 3,150 yen.

*Slub yarn gauze border towel (Left in right above photo).
Green and ivory color matching naturally in border pattern. "Slub" means slub yarn used in border which woven gauze and pile double. It's thin but has incredible water absorbent. Material: 100% organic cotton, Made in Japan. Size and the price is same as Supima towel, Facecloth: aprox. 34x85cm, 1,050 yen. Bath Towel: 60x120cm, 3,150 yen.

This one here is not organic but regular cotton towel with pretty chic flower pattern. Above photo right is facecloth, left is a bath towel. One side has gauze layer. They are compact but have good absorbent. Facecloth is white and bath towel is beige. Fabric is from Japanese maker "adorno". Their textile has made imaging North Europe style "Coquelicot". 100% cotton, Made in Japan.
Facecloth: 33x80 cm, Color: White only, 1,050 yen.
Bath Towel: 63x120cm, Color: White or beige, 2,730 yen.

Above photo is a tissue box cover from "tente", size: 25.5x12.5x6.2cm. Covers in left above photo are each 1,260 yen. Right above cover now displayed in shop is 1,890 yen.
"tente" means tent in French. I can agree when I look from their side, it looked like a circus tent! It fits easily with Velcro.

Featuring Japanese items

This morning on the way to the office, I was excited to see cherry blossoms starting to bloom. Although we're still in winter attire, I feel the sunshine getting warmer.

Have you ever seen this? Now a day it's hardly seen in Japanese ordinary house.

I used to see this in my house... the answer is Scroll Weights (Fuchin).
This is to hang on the edge of bar of hanging scroll. We call it "Fu-chin" in Japanese. As this literary means, "Controls winds", this is to keep the scroll stable from winds and it is a decoration at the same time.
Our Fu-chin has stone with tassel with price of 3,150 Yen.
We have a variation of stones and tassels. Foreign customers are quite curious about this use.
